Uncapping Steam Knife. This is a lightweight 10” long steam knife for uncapping honeycomb. It is for beekeepers who do not wish to use electrical knives. If you are concerned about honey exposure to a heated electric knife, then this is the ideal knife for you. We recommend using a 1500W steamer. Most beekeepers use a wallpaper steamer as a steam source for the knife, whereas some beekeepers use an old pressure cooker to boil water on a gas burner.
